Mesh
Clean and flawless highpoly mesh with complete and closed elements. No one-sided pseudo high poly objects, flipped normals, multipolys or edge poles. The mesh density is similar on the fuselage belly and sides. Asset is made in real-world scale meters, mainly in quad polygons. The complete poly count is 2,067,387 polys. Some hidden spots or barely visible mesh parts may have triangle polygons. The wings and gears have properly reproduced hydraulics on a midpoly level.
UVW
Main asset parts such as fuselage, rudder, wings, engine left and right are non-overlapping unwrapped. Layouts: fuselage, wings, engine left, engine right, wheels, gears, lights.
Day & Night
Asset is ready for day and night scenes. All windows and lights (bulbs) are individual mesh objects and any material can be applied to them. The gears and fuselage have simple yet properly reproduced light objects.
Textures
Included are 18 x high quality textures in 4096 x 4096 px resolution for fuselage, wings, engines, and smaller sized textures for gears and wheels without a cut in texture quality.
Animations
Animated devices include engines, gear doors, gears, wheels, rudders, and elevators. Animable devices include spoilers, ailerons, flaps, and speed brakes. A special rig is included for the animable devices with prepositions for several scenarios. Fourteen animations are included, such as rolling and accelerating, rolling and braking, rolling and taking off, landing and rolling, and flying. All engines are properly animated and linear looped.
Timeline
The timeline is set at 30 FPS for all animations in the native 3ds Max file. All FBX files included in the package were exported with a 30 FPS setting.
Files Included
Asset was made and animated in native 3ds Max 2022. The downloadable attachment includes 14 x .fbx files, 14 x .max files and 18 x 8 Bit .png files.
Final Note
This 3D asset was actually created for use in 3ds Max. The FBX exporter often has issues exporting proper vertex and edge normals when dealing with highly complex animations. Due to the high complexity of the gear door animations, be aware that you may experience issues with the provided FBX file. If so, use the native 3ds Max files or re-export the FBX files or any other formats.
